David Henrickson is the accompanist for the University of North Dakota Concert Choir and Varsity Bards in addition to accompanying voice and instrumental students within the music department. Active as a collaborative pianist and vocal coach, he has performed in recitals in the upper Midwest as well as the east and west coast. For over 15 years, he has been staff accompanist for the North Dakota District Metropolitan Opera Auditions. In 1992, he was staff accompanist for the Summer Vocal Institute in Santa Barbara, California. David has been on the musical staff for several opera companies, including four seasons in California with Sacramento Opera Company. In the area of Musical Theatre, he has been Musical Director for several professional and amateur companies including The Crimson Creek Players and the Straw Hat Players of Minnesota State University, Moorhead. David has performed as principle keyboardist with the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra and has sung with and accompanied the Grand Forks Master Chorale.
David holds a BA Degree from Minot State University and has received an Artist Diploma from the 1st Curso Internacional de Interpretación de Música Española, sponsored by Réal Musical in Madrid, Spain. He is currently completing a Master of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
