School Age Program2008-05-04 to 2008-08-15 This program specifically introduces children ages 5-12 to the UND campus. The children will also spend time with peers and teachers focusing and studying topics that are centered around themes such as Conservation/Nature, Kids in the Kitchen, Splish/Splash Water fun, The Great Outdoors, Science Discovery, Career Week and more.

Mini-Society Entrepreneurship Summer Camp2008-05-27 to 2008-06-06 Mini Society Summer Camp is designed to bring youth ages 9-12 and youth leaders together for a hands-on learning experience in entrepreneurship. The project will provide participants with personal learning experiences in the skills and attitudes that define entrepreneurial thinking. They will learn the ability to recognize opportunities overlooked by others, insight and energy to identify and marshal the resources necessary to actualize opportunities, and the self-confidence and drive to initiate those ventures in the face of personal risk.

ND Swim Camps 20082008-06-01 to 2008-06-20 This program is designed to give participants age 8-18 a good foundation in swimming fundamentals, stroke technique and starts with special attention on turns. See brochure for application information.

Red River Chamber Music Festival2008-06-01 to 2008-06-08 The Red River Chamber Music Festival offers intermediate and advanced student musicians aged thirteen and older a week-long program of chamber music and strings study. The program is held on the campus of the University of North Dakota, and includes ensemble practice and coaching, student and faculty concerts, and opportunities to take advantage of cultural and recreational activities in the area. Artistic staff for the program include The Chiara String Quartet and Dr. Eric Lawson, Concertmaster of the Greater Grand Forks Symphony. Members of the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra assist as coaches and instructors.

Moviemaking Camp for Teens2008-06-09 to 2008-06-20 Learn how to develop plot, character and dialogue in a short screenplay during the first week. During the second week learn what's involved in pre-production, shooting, directing and editing digital movies. Get hands-on experience on Final Cut software in a state of the art editing lab.

Boys Basketball Big Man-Point Guard Camp2008-06-12 to 2008-06-14 This basketball camp is for boys entering grades 8-12 and will include the breakdown of post play and guard play. Posts will work on post moves, footwork, and shooting the basketball, while the guards will work on ball handing, decision-making, passing, and shooting the basketball. There will also be combined breakdown with guards and posts working together.

25th Annual Int'l Aerospace Camp2008-07-13 to 2008-07-20 The John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences is sponsoring the 25th International Aerospace Camp. This unique camp is open to teenagers (ages 16-17) and offers aviation enthusiasts a chance to attend ground school, log flight time, and learn about the various careers within the aviation industry.

Summer Strings - Chamber Music Day Camp2008-08-04 to 2008-08-14 This music camp is for grades 5-8 and are interested in chamber music. This program has chamber ensemble coaching and will teach how to work cooperatively with other musicians at the same playing level. This 2-week camp will culminate in a public performance.
