INPSYDE Summer Institute2008-06-01 to 2008-06-13 The UND Summer Institute is intended to provide the first step in becoming American Indian psychologists to a select few Native high school students (ages 14-18). The primary goals of the camp are to 1) provide student safety and welfare, 2) achieve academic, cultural, and spiritual development and 3) build networking skills. The overall model for the program is based on the Tiyospaye Principal. The two most significant mind-sets for the Institute are 1) mutual respect and 2) when you work hard you play hard! Students are acquainted with the fundamentals of introductory, social, and statistics in psychology. They live a normal college life style and are provided a myriad evening activities.
Registration Fee: All costs (room, board, travel) are free upon an accepted application.
Girls State2008-06-01 to 2008-06-06 Girls State is a mythical state in which participants will be provided the opportunity to "learn by doing" and to gain knowledge of our government and political system on the city, county, and state level.

Tops In Blue2008-06-25 to 2008-06-25 This world-renown production, Tops In Blue, is an all-active duty US Air Force special unit made up of talented amateur performers selected for their entertainment abilities. Each year, thousands compete in base talent contests and the most talented move on to higher levels of competition. The result is an elite group composed of 35 of the most talented vocalists, musicians, and dancers anywhere. Known as the Air Forces’ Expeditionary Entertainers; the group’s main mission is to perform for military personnel and their families throughout the world. The enormous popularity of the group has also made them America's goodwill ambassadors around the globe.

Movie Camp Premiere Screening2008-06-29 to 2008-06-29 We will screen the movies made in the adult and youth camps on June 29th, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the historic Empire Arts Theatre in downtown Grand Forks. The public is heartily welcome.
Entrance Fee $3.00 at the door (proceeds going to next year's camp)
Student Welcome Weekend2008-08-22 to 2008-08-24 Welcome Weekend is for all new students in the fall. Students can meet their neighbors, enjoy excellent programming (for families and students) and participate in the fun social activities. Admitted students will get more information late in the summer.
